Our Faith

Mark 11: 22-25
Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. I assure you that whoever tells this hill to get up and throw itself in the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”

“For this reason I tell you: When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.”

And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done.”

Matthew 8: 5-13, Luke 7: 8-10

When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”

Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”

The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. …..”  Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

Luke 5: 18-20, 24-25, Matthew 9: 2, 6-8, Mark 2: 3-5, 10-12

Just then some men came, carrying a paralyzed man on a bed.  They were trying to bring him in and lay him before Jesus; but finding no way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the middle of the crowd in front of Jesus.

When he saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins“—he said to the one who was paralyzed—I say to you, stand up and take your bed and go to your home.” Immediately he stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went to his home, glorifying God.

Mark 5: 25-34, Luke 8: 47-48
Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to herself,  “If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well.”  Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well. And instantly the woman was made well.

Matthew 9: 28-30
When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”  Then he touched their eyes and said, According to your faith let it be done to you.”  And their eyes were opened.

Matthew 17: 18-20
And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly.  The disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast the demon out?”  He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

Mark 10: 49-52
Jesus stood still and said, “Call him here.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart; get up, he is calling you.”  So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.  Then Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “My teacher, let me see again.” Jesus said to him, Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.

Matthew 21: 21-22, Mark 11: 21-23
Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.  Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.”

Luke 17: 5-6
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” The Lord replied, If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Luke 17: 12-19
As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him.  Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”  When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.”  And as they went, they were made clean.

Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they?  Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”  Then he said to him, “Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well.”

Luke 18: 40-43
Jesus stood still and ordered the man to be brought to him; and when he came near, he asked him, What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, let me see again.” Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has saved you.”  Immediately he regained his sight and followed him, glorifying God; and all the people, when they saw it, praised God.
