We seek to serve Jesus Christ who, by his death and resurrection, first served us.
The highest priority for us is to witness to the love of Christ by sharing His love and inviting to Church our family members, friends, and neighbors. We eagerly seek to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission to “go into all the world…”
The Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are primary ways through which we receive God’s grace and are strengthened to be His serving people in the world.
Regular worship of the Lord is the most powerful public and corporate witness we can make.
We hunger to study the written Word of God and be guided by it in our lives.
Membership and full participation in Christ the Servant Church is open to all people; male and female; black, white, yellow, and tan; singles and married; young and old. We welcome every stranger, and no one will remain a stranger in our midst for long but will become a brother or sister in Christ.
We speak and think only good and positive words and thoughts about one another. Never do we tear down one another. We seek to build up the Body of Christ, which is the Church.
We use only Biblical methods of stewardship. We want our giving to be a joyful response to our Lord’s grace.
We stress the word “Christian” above the word “Lutheran.” While we are a liturgical church, we will not quibble over fine points. We are wide open to working with other denominations.
We seek to bear one another’s burdens and share one another’s joys. We also seek to bear the burdens of others over our community, and in the world.
In our relations with one another, we will always speak the truth in love. We strive to be open and honest with one another. We can speak about our feelings in a loving way.
Our pastor seeks to be a good example of the Christian faith. He readily visits the homes of members and prospective members and seeks to be available as a counselor and friend. He is on call twenty-four hours of every day.
Our building is a tool for ministry, not a monument to be served.
